Message From Our President
Greetings and thank you for taking the time to visit our website. It's a great honor to serve as the president for the exceptional Mu Rho Omega Chapter members. Our chapter consists of engaging, talented, and professional women who are dedicated to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated’s founding principles sisterhood and service to all mankind. The Mu Rho Omega Chapter has been providing significant and sustainable service to our community since being chartered on April 7, 1979, in Belle Glade, FL by seventeen emboldened Glades area natives. These trailblazing women had the sincere passion to help uplift their community, empower its people, and give a vision to those who could not see the potential that we all possessed individually and collectively to create a better and more perfect union for us all.

If the challenges of the past few years have taught us anything, we must remain grounded and seek better ways to serve those most in need. Over the next few years, the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha will continue to blaze new trails as we Soar to Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service under the leadership of our International president, Ms. Danette Anthony Reed. It is our mission to continue to Strengthen our Sisterhood, Empower our Families, Build Economic Wealth, Advocate for Social Justice and Uplift our Local Communities.

In addition to visiting our website, we also encourage you to visit our social media pages for more details about our upcoming programs and events. If you are a member of our sisterhood and you are new to the area or simply looking for a new chapter home, contact us to visit a chapter meeting.
